Low Carb Banana Bread

About the Recipe


● 2 ripe bananas, mashed

● ¾ cup (85g) almond flour

● ¼ cup (20g) coconut flour

● ¾ tsp baking soda

● 1 tsp cinnamon

● 1 scoop protein powder (chocolate or vanilla preferred)

● 2 tsp vanilla extract

● 3 eggs

● ¼ cup (70g) pure honey

● ½ cup (45g) walnuts, chopped

● 3 tbsp dark chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 350F and line two 8x4 inch loaf pans with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl stir together the almond flour, coconut flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and protein.

  3. In a separate large bowl mix the mashed banana, vanilla, honey, and eggs.

  4. Mix in the dry ingredients until a batter is formed. Stir in the walnuts and chocolate chips. Keep some nuts on the side to sprinkle on top.

  5. Pour the batter into the two loaf pans, distributing evenly. Sprinkle the walnuts on top.

  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick in the centre comes out clean.

  7. When the bread is done remove from oven. Let cool for 2 minutes then remove them out of the      pans and place on a wire rack or counter to cool. Cut each loaf into 6 equal slices for a total of 12.
